We’re thrilled to announce the publication of a new LPDD model legal document, a model conservation easement and declaration of covenants. Conservation easements are an important tool to promote biologic carbon sequestration in forests. The grant was prepared originally by the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association, and edited by our team in order to enhance terms that promote biologic carbon sequestration. Edits were prepared by Jim Kobak with input from colleagues at Hughes, Hubbard, and Reed, and with peer review from LPDD author Robert McKinstry. The document is available here.
