Vermont’s Energy Loan Guarantee Program
Provides loan guarantees to financial institutions for loans made to businesses for energy efficiency improvements.
LPDD Recommendation: “Federal government agencies such as USDA and Treasury should continue to provide loan guarantee programs to carbon-reducing technologies for as long as necessary to cross that threshold for them to be deployed at scale and expand such programs as these technologies evolve.”
