California’s Low-Emission Vehicle Program (2012) includes emissions standards for both criteria pollutants and GHGs for new passenger vehicles. As of September 2019, the program is threatened by the Trump Administration’s efforts to revoke California’s Clean Air Act waiver, which allows it to exceed federal emissions standards.
