California’s Sustainable Communities and Climate Protection Law (SB 375) requires GHG emission targets to be set for passenger vehicles and light trucks for each metropolitan planning area in the state, and MPOs then must prepare strategies to meet the targets and track GHG pollution from transportation (See Cal. Govt. Code 65080(b)(2)(A)).
