IRENA’s 2015 report looks at the realistic potential for higher renewable energy uptake in all parts of the US energy system, including power, industry, buildings, and the transport sectors. It targets a 33% net GHG reduction over 2005 levels by 2030, and provides an overview of how higher shares of renewable energy can be achieved, what the technology mix would entail, and the benefits of renewable energy deployment.
