In 2018, the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center provided $75,000 for feasibility studies to fourteen projects and communities across the state. This commitment followed up on previous studies into barriers to microgrid development in Massachusetts generally, and efforts to identity “hot spots” for microgrid development in Boston specifically.
