The ninth edition of the Massachusetts State Building Code (2018) adopts the 2015 IECC and ASHRAE Standards 90.1-2013, with strengthening amendments. The state stretch energy code exceeds the baseline state code by approximately 10% for new construction. The stretch code is now adopted in approximately two thirds of the state population.
