Menlo Park’s electrification reach code requires all-electric new construction for all residential buildings (single-family and multifamily, including high-rise) as well as new commercial buildings. For low-rise residential (under four stories), the city will allow gas for cooking. The Ordinance went into effect January 1, 2020.
