Minnesota’s 2014 Value of Solar study provided a template for how to consider the various types of value that solar systems provide to the grid and society, including peak load reduction, environmental benefits, and deferred capital investments. It is considered a first cut at a methodological question many jurisdictions continue to struggle with.
