Passed within an appropriation bill, Minnesota’s SF03, Article 3 Section 3(h), funds the Forever Green Agriculture Initiative “to protect the state’s natural resources while increasing the efficiency, profitability, and productivity of Minnesota farmers by incorporating perennial and winter-annual crops into existing agricultural practices.” Funding for the Forever Green Agriculture Initiate is set at $2,300,000 for the first year and $2,000,000 for the second year, and will be available until 2024.
