The Chancery Lane Project, a collaborative effort of UK lawyers to develop new contracts and model laws to help fight climate change, has published a model clause establishing “garden leave” and “climate sabbaticals” as elements of the employer-employee contract, whereby the employee would be encouraged to work with climate organizations on leave from their normal work.
