The Chancery Lane Project, a collaborative effort of UK lawyers to develop new contracts and model laws to help fight climate change, has published a model law amending UK corporate law to expand a corporation’s fiduciary duties beyond shareholders, including duties to society and the environment.
The model law is available in the attached volume at page 20 (“Lucas’ Law”).
