Report, Agroforestry Strategies to Sequester Carbon in Temperate North America. Udawatta and Jose’s 2012 report provides a review of carbon sequestration opportunities available under various agroforestry practices in temperate North America, and estimates carbon sequestration potential by agroforestry in the US. It concludes that the widespread adoption of agroforestry practices in the US could sequester 530 million metric tons of CO2-e each year, thereby turning agricultural land into a carbon sink.
