UNEP’s 2013 report describes the main mechanisms leading to nitrous oxide emissions and presents options for reducing emissions. It provides estimates of the emission reduction potential from various sectors, including agriculture, industry and fossil fuel combustion, biomass burning, and wastewater and aquaculture. The report presents emission projections based on identified mitigation strategies.
