4.3.6 Building Necessary Infrastructure to Support Clean HDVs

LPDD Recommendation: “EPA possesses authority to regulate motor vehicle fuels under the CAA. The Agency could construe this authority broadly enough to permit the creation of incentives for the construction of the necessary infrastructure to support battery-electric and fuel cell HDVs.”

LPDD Recommendation: “Individual states – particularly those with air quality concerns related to NOx emissions – should consider funding public infrastructure projects to support battery and fuel cell HDVs.”
