On July 24, 2019, Arkansas’ governor signed Act 464, which made fundamental changes to expand net metering in Arkansas. Key changes include: authorizing third-party leasing of net metering facilities, changing the size of facilities that are exempted from compliance filings from 300 kW to 1,000 kW, expanding the cap for non-residential customers to 20,000 kW in certain circumstances, and including a net metering paired energy storage device as an eligible net metering facility.
